Kwara United Football Club has announced goalkeeper Suraj Ayeleso as the club’s new captain, with Alao Mohammed named as vice-captain ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
Head Coach Ashifat Sulyman made the announcement during the team’s ongoing pre-season camping in Offa following the departures of former captain and vice AbdulAfeez Musa and Kabiru Mohammed.
According to the coach, Ayeleso’s vast experience as one of the longest-serving goalkeepers in the NPFL will bring leadership, stability, and value to the Harmony Boys, while also helping to guide the club’s younger players.
Meanwhile, Kwara United will this afternoon take on Offa FC in their second pre-season friendly at the Federal Polytechnic Sports Complex, Offa, by 3:00 pm.
The Harmony Boys played out a 1-1 draw with Laycon FA in their opening pre-season fixture and will continue their preparations on Sunday when they face Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in a high-profile friendly match in Ibadan by 4:00 pm.
