Nigeria’s Super Falcons will step up preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with an international friendly against rivals Ghana’s Black Queens on Saturday at the Stade El Arbi Zaouli in Casablanca, Morocco.
The nine-time African champions opened their training camp in Casablanca on Monday under head coach Justine Madugu, with 10 players already in camp, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Jennifer Echegini and Oluwatosin Demehin. The team is also scheduled to hold its first training session at the Stade El Arbi Zaouli as preparations intensify ahead of the continental tournament.
The Super Falcons will begin the defence of their WAFCON title against Malawi on July 28 before taking on Zambia on August 1 and Egypt on August 5 in their remaining Group C fixtures. The tournament’s four semi-finalists will qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while the fifth-placed team will advance to the intercontinental playoffs.
