The Nationwide League One (NLO) has confirmed Nasarawa State, Yobe State and Jigawa State as host centres for the 2026 Division One Promotional Play-offs scheduled to take place from July 2 to July 7.

The crucial playoff tournament will determine the four clubs from Northern Nigeria that will secure promotion to the Nigeria National League ahead of the new season.

Sixteen clubs qualified for the playoffs after progressing from the league round. The teams are divided into four regional groups. North-Central Zone 1 consists of Mighty Jet Feeders FC, Bida Lions FC, La-Planet FC and Flight FC, while North-Central Zone 2 features Mailantarki Care FC, Neurospark FC, Police Machine and Kogi United.

The North-East Zone includes FC Yarmalight, DMD FC, Makwanda Warriors FC and Warinje FC, while the North-West Zone is made up of Musa Musa FC, Katsina United Jnr, Zamfara United and Jnr Danburam FC.

The NLO also confirmed that matches will be played at the August 27 Stadium, Dutse Stadium and Lafia Township Stadium, with the playoffs set to run simultaneously across the centres to ensure smooth organisation and competitive balance.

All participating clubs are expected to arrive at their designated venues by July 1 for the technical meeting and documentation process. The league body also reiterated its strict stance on discipline, warning clubs against late arrivals and failure to present valid player licences while urging State Football Associations to ensure full compliance with league regulations.
