The Second tier league, Nigeria National League resumption date has again been postponed indefinitely.
The reason this time around like several times was still not made public.
According to the circular signed by the Chief Operating Officer of the league, Mr Lawrence Katken, he noted that the league which is being postponed for the third time since it went on Yuletide break last year will not resume on the last proposed date of 14th of March, 2020.
“Due to circumstances beyond the Nigeria National League based on caustic situation bedeviling Nigeria Football, we humbly inform all NNL Clubs and followers that the proposed date of Friday,14th March 2020 for restarting the league is no longer feasible” the statement read.
Saying, the Management of the League is doing all its best to kick start the league again, the statement left many in doubt as no date was proposed for the resumption.
“We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the league starts soonest”
Across the country, not less than 40 clubs are participating in the Nigeria second professional elite league with all the clubs being grouped in to 4 for the fight to get back to the top flight League, NPFL.
